An intimate celebration, a family or work reunion, a milestone birthday or anniversary, or your first New Zealand holiday: book all three stays and the 50 acres around them are exclusively yours, with nobody else on the property (except our caretaker) and the Matakana valley laid out below.

Between them the Scandinavian Eco-Lodge, the African Safari Glamping tent and the Airstream Retreat sleep 13 – the size of group that can still eat around one table and spend the evening together, which is rather the point. Bring a tent or two and we can even host some extras (within reason!)

We can help you find local catering options and point you towards the best local experiences and venues, or you are welcome to run the weekend entirely your own way. Tell us your dates and we will put together an exclusive package just for you.

Native NZ Forest Medicine Walk

A loop track through our native bush: boardwalks under the canopy, a seat out over the stream to sit and just be, and a wander on toward the orchard, past the plants of rongoā, traditional Māori healing.

Frequently asked questions

How big a group can you take?

Thirteen, across the three stays together – the Scandinavian Eco-Lodge sleeps 8, the African Safari Glamping tent 2 and the Airstream Retreat 3. We no longer host the large marquee events we once did, so this is a whole-property booking for a group rather than a venue hire with numbers on top. The availability grid on this page shows what is free across all three at once.

Can we have the property to ourselves?

That is rather the point. Book all three stays and the 50 acres are exclusively yours for those nights, with nobody else on the property except our caretaker. Each stay is booked separately, so send us one enquiry with your dates and we will coordinate it.

Do you help with catering?

We can help you find local catering options and point you towards the best local experiences and venues, or you are welcome to self-cater and run the weekend your own way – the lodge has a full kitchen, and there is a BBQ at each of the other two. Tell us your dates and numbers and we will put together an exclusive package just for you.
