For the first time ever Matakana Retreat is delighted to offer the opportunity to hire our entire farm and accomodation for your special day. Read on to find out all about the special venue we are very proud to provide. We know you hear this a lot, but it really is true! Places for next year are limited and are on a strictly first come first serve basis, so we encourage you to book early to avoid disappointment. A 50% deposit is required to secure your place.

Enjoy having 12 of your best people stay nearby at the main lodge while you enjoy the pampering and privacy of the honeymoon suite (safari tent). Roll out of bed on the morning of the big day and you're already where you need to be for your wedding and reception. We pride ourselves on making things simple and very special for our guests.

There is ample space for extra guests to park up campers or pitch tents for your event. We can arrange a package to suit, just get in touch for a quote. Our farm can accommodate up to 50 guests including parking and on-site overflow accommodation . If you arrange shuttles on to the farm you can also host a reception. Big or small, we can tailor a package just for you - let's talk.

There are several options for hosting your nuptials. You can arrange a lovely intimate event at the main lodge or set up a marquee to host anywhere from 20-200 guests at the top of the hill. This is your day, do it your way!

An absolutely amazing property if you want to feel completely removed from the rest of the world. It was the perfect setting for the 4X of us staying to have a great and long overdue catch up. The house is amazing and we'll definitely be back whenever we stay in Matakana. House was very clean, well set out and beds were super comfy. Dee & Damon were an absolute pleasure to deal with and communication was first rate.

Fantastic hosts Dee and Damon really went out of their way to make sure we knew exactly what to expect and how everything worked.
The house is beautiful and remote, awesome getaway spot without the long travel to get there.
The kitchen is wonderful to cook in and spend time together as a group. The layout of the house is very inviting and flows beautifully.

Exceeded my expectations, house was super nice and cozy, the perfect vibe for a getaway. Was amazing for my group of 12, enough space for everyone. The hosts were super nice and caring. 10/10 would recommend this place.
