Matakana Retreat offers off-grid comfort for various sized groups. We can help individuals or couples wanting to unplug and bath in nature for a quick break, or you can rent out the entire property to host a small event.

Event Space
An incredible vista and flat area to erect a large marquee for over 100 seated guests is located at the top of the hill. Damon and Dianna hosted a wedding and reception in November 2022 for over 100 of their favourite people. Their vision is to provide a space for guests to imagine and share their special event exactly how they want.
There's accommodation for the bridal party or out-of-town guests for weddings or conferences, and plenty of space to set up a marquee and seating. Your hosts can help you with special rates on catering and event hire, and even provide a wedding or event planner, or you can do everything yourselves.
